Tea in the United States covers everything from a traditional Chinese or Japanese tea house to a Southern sweet-tea counter, and the fastest-growing segment is bubble tea: Taiwanese-style milk teas and fruit teas with tapioca pearls, sold by chains and independents alike with adjustable sugar and ice levels. Tea rooms serving afternoon tea with scones and sandwiches usually require a reservation, while boba shops, juice bars and smoothie shops are walk-in and quick. Kava and kombucha bars are a newer category, and loose-leaf tea stores sell blends, teaware and gifts, often with a tasting counter. Prices for a drink run similar to coffee-shop prices, with premium teas and cold-pressed juices at the high end.

Been stopping by this place since it was a pop-up in the Washington blue line, and they always have attentive service and such a wonderful creative selection of drinks. I am personally a fan of doing the discounted rotating daily special, not just for the aforementioned discount but because they also have exposed me to new combos, even though I generally stay in my comfort zone. all in all 9.5/10 experienc!!!

$13 for the cool sandwich with that crispy interior. Got the 5 hour pork one and liked it. Itβs on the oily side but wow decent portion. Bubble tea here has less sugar than others like KFT so if ur ordering βless sugar,β itβs like 30% sweet imo just fyi

Good value and quick service! I love the cup lids (cat ears), and the subtle touch that the boba pearls are sweeter than the tea, which makes a not-too-sweet drink

Hidden gem if you are craving Chinese street food in the Loop. Itβs in the basement of Block 37 so itβs somewhat out of sight. Great selection for Jianbing (a savory eggy crepe dish with crispy cracker and protein, vegg of your choice as filling). Itβs a good size for lunch or big snack. The tea option is also great. Not a lot of seating and phone signal is terrible in the basement tho..

Tea Monster has really great bubble tea. I got Lime & Passion Fruit Green (C1) and it was quite refreshing! The lid is also the best lid Iβve ever seen for bubble tea. Itβs not a soft plastic lid that you puncture. Itβs a hard top and it makes sure you wonβt have any spillage at all.
